Many of Shinedown tunes are about the struggles of life (being the .45) that we all deal with at some point or another .. be strong, and know that you ARE loved .. as hard as it gets for some of us, you have to keep your chin up, stay positive, and move on. So when I was 16 I lost 2 friends back to back. I lost my best friend who was more like my brother in August of 2019. He died of heart failure and was 17. The during my move to a new state I received the news that my other friend had died in a car crash, he was also 17. I remember being honestly scared I was also going to die at 17 which was only a month away. I listened to this song for almost 6 months trying to I guess comprehend what the actual fuck just happened to me and my friends. Now of course I’m not dead, I’m 20 years old now. It just feels so weird to listen to certain songs and feel a sudden flood of emotions you haven’t felt in so long.
Its 2.10AM one the 22 January 2023. This song is amazing. Always has been. Its one of my top "go to" songs. X
